About Me

I am a New York City based Physical Therapist with over 20 years of experience specializing in the treatment of premature infants and children with severe neurological and orthopedic impairments. My expertise is in treating children with arthrogryposis and cerebral palsy with an emphasis on independent movement without the use of an assistive devise. I also have extensive experience in treating other complex conditions such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Hydrocephalus, Microcephaly, Genetic Microdeletion, Micro-premies, and Tortocollis.

I have also developed specialized protocols to enable early movement in children with a limited ability to walk by creatively utilizing multimodal treatment techniques. I work one-on-one with each child and supplement my treatment by providing a home-care program that parents and care-givers can carry through. Through-out the course of a child’s treatment, I work closely with neurological and orthopedic specialists to ensure that the child is making sustainable progress.
It has been my experience that children that come to me for physical therapy often have needs for specialized care in other areas as well. I feel fortunate to be part of a network of highly skilled clinicians, occupational, physical, speech and feeding therapists and can make the necessary introductions at the right time.
I have a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Long Island University. As part of my continuing education and professional development, I have additional training in the following areas as well:
-
